Many trekking organizations often offer a variety of options when it comes to choosing the right package for a memorable journey. The diversity of terrains, climates, and experiences means that there is a trekking package suitable for everyone, from novice hikers to seasoned explorers. Whether you’re seeking the thrill of high-altitude summits, the tranquility of forest trails, or the cultural immersion of remote villages, trekking packages cater to a wide range of preferences and aspirations. TrekinHimalaya too offers different packages: namely Full Board packages and Half Board packages.
The Full Board package is generally the standard package and is readily available for all trips. It includes the “expected services” when you come to Nepal, meaning the price that is paid will start with us picking you up from the airport when you come to Nepal to dropping you off after the trip is over. Full Board packages also include full meals and accommodation, meaning three meals per day during trek (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) and accommodation options in Kathmandu before the trip. The full board package comes with two options: Group Join and Private Trip.
The group join option means that you will be joining other random people during the trip and will be guided in a group. This is an excellent option for people wishing to meet new people and embrace the Nepali culture of brotherhood. Group join options are relatively cheaper but are only available in certain days of the week, as it takes time to form a specific group for different trek packages. The private trip option means that you and your group will be privately guided (everyone in your group will be your own people). Private trips are relatively more expensive but are available every day in-season.
The Half Board package is a package option available in TrekinHimalaya where the trip is relatively cheaper with somewhat lesser services. In this package option, our meetup point will not be at the airport, rather it will be at your hotel. Also, this package will not include lunch and dinner during trips, ONLY breakfast is included. So, lunch and dinner can be managed by your own expenses. Also, half-board packages do not include a porter (we can get you one for $30 per day). We recommend half-board packages for people who want to manage meals and accommodations on their own and want us to assist them in guiding them during the trek only.
