Itinerary


Paro

Your trip will begin by you arriving at the Paro International Airport, where you will be greeted by our tour guide. From there, we will travel to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Today, you can explore Thimphu’s vibrant markets, visit the National Memorial Chorten, and discover the majestic Tashichho Dzong. Then we will take you to your hotel in Thimpu where you will stay tonight.

The second day of the trip is reserved for sightseeing around Thimpu, a culturally vibrant city with beautiful Buddhist architectures and even more beautiful people. After breakfast, we will visit the Buddha Dordenma, a massive statue overlooking the city. You can also explore the Folk Heritage Museum which showcases Bhutan’s traditional way of life.

Lunch is best eaten at local restaurants to fully savor the taste of Bhutan. We will also visit the Takin Preserve to see the unique national animal of Bhutan, the takin. We will also discover the National Institute for Zorig Chusum, where traditional Bhutanese arts and crafts are preserved. After a long day of sightseeing adventures around Thimpu, you will stay overnight in Thimphu.

Today, we depart for Punakha Valley, known for its stunning landscapes and historic sites. En route, you will stop at the Dochu La Pass and admire the panoramic views of the Himalayas. You will also visit the Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece situated at the confluence of two rivers. Later, you will hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, known for its unique traditions. All the places you visit today carries a historic and cultural significance to the people of Bhutan. After a day full of exploring the essence of Punakha Valley, you will return to your hotel at Thimpu.

Paro

For the last day in Bhutan, we will go back to Paro, a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains. Paro is culturally rich, with monasteries, temples and unique traditions scattered all around. You will start off your day by hiking to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, one of Bhutan’s most iconic and sacred sites. You will also visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.

After visiting these places, we will explore the town in Paru, stroll through its charming streets, eat local cuisines and shop for local handicrafts. The streets of Paro are as vibrant as the culture and the hustle and bustle will certainly bring you joy. After a long day of roaming around Paro, you will stay overnight in Paro, where your Bhutan trip will come to an end.
