Sundarijal to Mulkharka: The trail begins with a steep climb out of Sundarijal, following a scenic route through the national park. You’ll pass through dense forests, and at times, you’ll be walking alongside the water pipelines.

Mulkharka to Chisapani: Continue your ascent through the forested area, and you’ll reach the charming village of Mulkharka, where you can take a break and interact with the local residents. The trail then leads to Borlang Bhanjyang and continues upward.

Chisapani: After several hours of trekking, you’ll arrive at Chisapani, a peaceful hill station. Chisapani offers magnificent views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal mountain ranges, and it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty.

Begin your hike from Chisapani, a serene hill station located in the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, not far from Kathmandu.

Hiking Route:

1. Chisapani to Jhule: The trail starts with a descent from Chisapani through lush rhododendron and oak forests. You’ll pass through small villages and terraced fields, providing glimpses of local life.
2. Jhule to Chauki Bhanjyang: After crossing a suspension bridge at Jhule, you’ll start ascending towards Chauki Bhanjyang. The path offers more forested sections and occasional clearings with views of the surrounding hills.
3. Chauki Bhanjyang to Nagarkot: Continue your ascent until you reach Chauki Bhanjyang. From here, it’s a relatively easy walk to Nagarkot. The trek takes you through picturesque landscapes with terraced fields, charming villages, and stunning viewpoints.

Nagarkot: Upon reaching Nagarkot, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, including peaks like Everest, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and the Annapurna range. Nagarkot is renowned for its beautiful sunrise and sunset views, so make sure to arrive in time for one of these natural spectacles.

1. Nagarkot to Telkot: The trek commences with a gradual descent from Nagarkot to Telkot, a small village. Along the way, you’ll pass through terraced fields, forests, and small hamlets. The trail offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside and the Kathmandu Valley.
2. Telkot to Changu Narayan: From Telkot, the trail leads to the ancient Changu Narayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The path descends through picturesque villages and farmlands, providing insights into rural Nepali life. Changu Narayan Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Kathmandu Valley, is a significant cultural and historical site, known for its exquisite architecture and intricate stone carvings.

Changu Narayan: Upon reaching Changu Narayan, you can explore the temple complex and admire the impressive artwork on the temple’s walls. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is a testament to the rich artistic heritage of Nepal.
