Overview
Nepal is not just limited to major popular trekking routes like Everest, Annapurna Langtang and Manaslu. There are numerous other beautiful places which are finally being recognized by the mainstream trekking world. One of those trekking routes is the Mardi Himal Trek.
Mardi Himal Trek is a relatively new trekking spot (2012) in the Annapurna region. This trek offers you traditional rural villages, stunning landscapes and diverse flora and fauna until you reach your destination at Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m). Along the trail, you will frequently be greeted with views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Himchuli. This trek is suitable for trekking amateurs, as it is relatively easy, as well as for professionals. who want to experience a short and beautiful trekking experience.

Itinerary
Kathmandu
When you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (Kathmandu), you will be met by our representative who will be holding a sign board with your name on it. You will then be transferred to your hotel. If time permits it, you can roam around Kathmandu today. In the evening, we will brief you about the upcoming Mardi Himal Trek.

Pokhara
Today, we will drive out of Kathmandu following the Prithvi highway to the scenic and tranquil town of Pokhara. En route you will have outstanding views of Mt. Ganesh, Mt. Manaslu and Annapurna ranges of the Himalayas, along with majestic rivers like the Marshyangdi and Trisuli. You will be welcomed with terraced fields and local villages, until you reach Pokhara.
Pokhara is set on the banks of Phewa Tal (lake) beneath the Annapurna range, serving as a spectacular backdrop for this serene town. On arrival, you are free to explore the town, take a boat out on to the lake, walk up to the World Peace Pagoda, or simply relax and soak up the atmosphere by the lakeside.

Duration: 6 Hours

Australian Base Camp
Today, after breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara, you will take an hour-long drive to Kande. From Kande, you will have a pleasant trek of about 4-5 hours to Pitan Deurali (2100m) via Australian Camp (2060m) and Pothana (1950m). Pothana will serve as an ACAP/TIMS checkpoint. At Deurali, you will get to witness the glaciers of the Annapurna South peak.

Duration: 1 Hour drive, 4-5 Hours Trek

Pitam Deurali
From today on, you will have longer treks. In the morning, after breakfast, you will start your trek from Pitan Deurali. On the route, you will be greeted with diverse flora and fauna, through lush forests and rhododendron bushes. We will stop for lunch in Forest Camp (2600m) after about 4 hours of trekking. Then you will need to walk for about 3 hours to Low Camp (2985m) where we will spend the night today.

Duration: 7 Hours
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
High Camp
Today, you will do a short trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3550m). You will see spectacular views of Machhapuchhre ahead and Annapurna South to my left. About 4 hours trekking we arrived at High Camp (3550m).

Duration: 4 Hours
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Mardi Base Camp
Today, you will reach your destination to Mardi Base Camp. You will hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4500m) and back to High Camp. This round trip takes about 4 to 5 hours on foot. If you do not want to go all the way to Mardi Himal Base Camp, you just hike to Mardi viewpoint at about half-way and back to High Camp. On the way, you will be greeted with a beautiful sunrise hitting Annapurna South. After lunch at High Camp, we will trek down for a scenic view of hills above the clouds, Badal Danda (3210m), where we will be staying the night,

Duration: 6-7 Hours
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Pokhara
Today, we will descend down to Pokhara from Badal Danda. You will be greeted with amazing views in the morning, and after breakfast, you will trek down to Siding, which takes around 4 hours trekking with a pleasant descent. After lunch, we will take a 2-hour drive back to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, you can wind down and relax by Fewa Lake, and enjoy everything this beautiful city has to offer.
Option: It is also possible to extend one more day of your trek. You can trek from Siding to Lwang Village walking 5-6 hours. You will sleep at a lodge in Lwang and the next day, you will drive back to Pokhara.

Duration: 5 Hours trek + 2 Hour drive
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Kathmandu
The next day, you will return back to Kathmandu via a comfortable tourist bus. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel and your trip is finally over! If you have time and want to roam Kathmandu, you are free to do so. If you want to do other tours in Nepal still, we can discuss it too.

More Info
Food and Accommodation:
Whilst in the cities of Pokhara and Kathmandu, you will be accommodated in fabulous hotels and during your trek, you will stay in trekkers lodges/guest houses. The lodges are mostly private rooms, but you may also spend your night in dormitories up in higher altitudes. Private bathrooms with hot showers are generally available but at higher altitudes. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but you can’t expect it to be the same as in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Transportation:
We provide you with a tourist bus to Pokhara before starting trekking and tourist bus to Kathmandu after trekking. Tourist buses are clean, comfortable and safe to travel. We value your comfort and ensure you that the buses are fitted with AC. We can also arrange a private car, jeep or bus depending on your group size for extra charge. For a comfortable trip, we recommend flights to Pokhara from Kathmandu, which costs around US$ 200 extra for a round trip.
Trekking Permits:
Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) is compulsory for trekking in the Annapurna region. TIMS are issued by the Nepal government through registered trekking agencies like “Adventure Speed (P) Ltd”. Beside TIMS, an Annapurna conservation Entry permit is also required to trek in the Annapurna region because the trekking routes are inside the Annapurna Conservation Area.
